What Fito is

Fito develops technical discernment: the ability to spot nuance, weigh trade-offs, and reach for the right solution in the right context. You work through code-based cases, get assessed against an explicit map of knowledge, and watch your proficiency accumulate.

This is the complete account of how to use Fito, in English and Portuguese. It is authoritative wherever anything else covers the same ground.

It does not explain how to run or operate a Fito server. That is an operator’s job, and it lives in the repository’s own architecture documentation.

You browse Fito in a browser and work a case in your terminal.

  1. Pick a case from the catalogue. Its cover tells you what it teaches, what it expects you to know already, and how it will score you.
  2. Open it in your terminal. Fito forks the case to your GitHub, checks it out on a branch of your own, and briefs you on the situation — never the solution.
  3. Solve it, with a tutor scoped to that case when you get stuck.
  4. Submit. Your work is scored against the case’s rubric, and the result is recorded as proficiency against individual pieces of knowledge rather than as a single mark.

Every AI turn — the tutor, the scoring — runs on your own machine on your own LLM subscription. Fito’s server holds no LLM key and never sees your code.
